A simple, elegant, and versatile stool made completely out of solid wood. Its form is reminiscent of open umbel columns of Ancient Egypt. It has been designed and made using a combination of traditional woodworking methods and more advanced computational techniques. 

This tall stool version is great for elevated countertops which are common in kitchens and bar areas. Also, its planar top allows it to serve a multitude of functions such as additional counter space; a bistro-like table; or a pedestal for a lamp or vase.
