mo-ma is an Egyptian design and fabrication studio that focuses on kitchens, furniture, and special commissions headed by its co-founders and chief designers Montasser Hamid and Malak Madkour. With collective backgrounds in furniture making, cabinetry, interiors, and architecture; we focus on making products that are timeless, well-thought out, and have a meaningful connection to their users.

We’re a design-led business that works closely with our own network of local manufacturers, craftsmen, and artisans across Egypt. This diverse and expanding network honours our commitment to age-old crafts, new technologies that could be harnessed for our use, innovative solutions that are informed by fabrication knowledge, and widens our contribution to the community overall.

Each mo-ma product is made-to-order allowing us the twofold benefit of working with a variety of materials, finishes, and configurations. And also minimise our environmental impact with the conscious aim of promoting energy and resource efficiency to the built world around us.
