A simple, elegant, and versatile stool made completely out of solid wood. Its form is reminiscent of open umbel columns of Ancient Egypt. It has been designed and made using a combination of traditional woodworking methods and more advanced computational techniques. 

This counter stool version is great for kitchens and raised table-tops which are higher than usual dining tables.  Also, its planar top allows it to serve a multitude of functions such as additional counter space; a bistro-like table; side-table; night stand; or a pedestal for a lamp or vase.
